GLFS is a Michigan finder-fee broker. We pair kitchens and processors with collectors, and we settle a fee from the buyer’s side. These terms spell out what that means, what it doesn’t, and what using this site does and doesn’t create between you and GLFS.
Great Lakes Feedstock Solutions ("GLFS") is a Michigan finder-fee broker. We pair used-cooking-oil ("UCO") accounts from south-central-Michigan restaurants, commercial kitchens, and food processors with a local collector who can service them. We do not own trucks, route pickups, take title to your oil, or take possession of anything you produce.
There is no contract between you and GLFS for using this site or for submitting the intake form. If you choose a collector, you review its pickup terms before signing — that agreement is between you and the collector you pick.
When GLFS refers a Michigan commercial-kitchen account to a collector, the fee is negotiated and agreed in writing before GLFS releases a protected lead. Payment is due within 30 days after the collector's first completed pickup. We do the math on a per-account basis; the figure depends on account size, pickup frequency, and corridor.
Before an introduction, GLFS confirms pickup radius, equipment capacity, and payment cadence with the collector directly. We do not claim collectors are fully vetted, licensed, or eligible for any specific tax credit until documentation is in hand. Licensing and tax-credit-eligibility checks are for you and the collector to complete together.
Actual UCO rates depend on oil quality, volume, location, pickup frequency, and the collector's quote. We do not publish an exact per-pound rate on this site. The market value widget on the home page is a volume estimate, not a guaranteed payout.
